How good is my Wi-Fi?

Many of our customers suffer with their Wi-Fi signal breaking up when they most need it. They’re on that important Zoom call and they keep dropping out or, they're listening to a live stream and it breaks up. Here’s a simple test that you can do to see how good your home WiFi really is.

First of all get your smartphone and check that you are logged on to your Wi-Fi network. Google your favourite live pop or music video/radio station and get it streaming to your phone (Bill’s favourite is Adelle). Then while it’s playing slowly walk from room to room in your house (chose the rooms where you would normally use the Wi-Fi (not the airing cupboard). You should get an uninterrupted video, in other words you shouldn’t have to restart it during your walk around. If you can do this your Wi-Fi should be able to support Zoom and Voice over IP calls (WiFi calling, Skype, WhatsApp, or etc.) If you’d like to improve your Wi-Fi we can help, just give us a shout on sales@wifiwizard.co.uk.
